HeroSMS picked up many users after SMS-Activate shut down. It offers broad country coverage and competitive per-SMS pricing. Proxnum targets the same OTP use case but adds number rentals, reseller licensing, Telegram bot reselling, and payment methods like M-Pesa for Africa-focused users.
